Photoshop Artistry

In 2017 I began online Photoshop classes. I had a very ill partner at home and it seemed a good way to explore this skill while remaining available at home. I enjoyed the hands on projects led by Sebastian Michaels using images created by photoshop artists. I would follow along using my own subjects to learn different techniques. I began compiling favorite resources—textures, pre-sets, specialty brushes. I liked the variety of image types—sometimes enhancing photos, incorporating texts, creating composites, and poster style images.

These days I almost always use some of the skills I learned to enhance literal images or to push the limits to create new types of images. And in addition to formal photo shoots, I’m constantly on the look out for skies, textures, subjects that I can use.
