Tuscany Workshop
Tuscany on The Backroads with Elizabeth Opalenik
In July 2018 I participated in Elizabeth Opalenik’s photographic workshop in a renovated castle near Buonconvento, Tuscany. Avoiding the more touristed areas, we explored old farmhouses, a goat farm, vineyards, hot springs, and cobble-stoned hilltop villages surrounded by golden sunflowers and fields of hay bales, all under dramatic skies.
Dancers and models came for our intense photo sessions often on the grounds of the Castelnuovo Tancredi with a sparkling pool (great for underwater and infraRed work), acres of olive groves, ancient brick buildings, moss-covered rocks, and polychrome walls. as usual Elizabeth gave 200% as she poked and prodded us to see more clearly, dig deeply, and relate more profoundly. It was a magical place to meet wonderful people, create, and relax.
